How long does it take to hear from MCP?

I have an interview there coming up soon and was wondering for those that have already interviewed there and heard...how long did it take before you heard a response? I read in their info that they sent that they tend to work fast. Can anyone shed any light on this?

yeah right! i interviewed in december, and it took them 14 weeks! it's probably at least that long now. MCP was by far the SLOWEST school that i interviewed at.

MCP is slow and way behind. But don't worry they have such a high turnover rate with people droping their acceptances left and right. That is why they have to accept 800 and wait-list another couple hundred to fill a class of 235-250.

Yeah the wait was pretty long (8weeks+) for most of us. I interviewed on Dec 11 and was accepted Feb 15th. However maybe they've caught up by now and it will take less time this late in the season. You will probably get a better idea of this when you're there--ask Lisa (the asst admissions director). Don't go by what their interview info packet says.

It took about 10 weeks for me to hear from MCP after my
initial interview. I was waitlisted at that time, but I just
received my acceptance letter last week!!

Congrats Serpiente, Mylaina, and haughty! Hopefully I have the same luck but we'll see. They really do have a high turnover though...is that the norm for them or is that just this year? Im getting a little antsy because Im waiting to hear back from a couple of places which is why I asked how long they take at MCP. We'll see I guess. Any advice you guys can pass along about your day there will be appreciated .

I interviewed at MCP about two weeks ago. We were told it should take about eight weeks. Also, if you hadn't heard anything by then, to go ahead and give them a call. Six weeks and counting for me, hopefully.

Yeah- the office of admissions is super nice and super receptive. Just wait the alloted 8 weeks (I think I held out for 9) and they will tell you if the letter is on its way or just done, etc.

Also, My friend just interviewed there last week and he said that they are interviewing until May 8th!!! So this is a crazy late year for them...

Good luck Dr. Will! I'll be there myself in a few days so hopefully it goes well. Thanks all of you guys for your responses. I definitely feel I have a little more insight into the day there than I did before. At my past interviews I went having some sort of info in mind about the school so this should help.

I interviewed on January 23rd, and haven't heard a thing. Maybe I ahould give them a call.
