I've heard from others that during payback you will probably stay at your originally assigned duty station for all 4 years. Is this true? How likely are you to be moved during the 4 years? Any first hand accounts would be appreciated.

I imagine results may vary depending on need, etc, but what is typical?

Your payback is 4 years. Since it costs money to PCS, you generally won't do it unless you will be at your new duty station at least 2 years. Your first duty station will be between 2-3 years depending on where you go. If it's a 3 year tour, you will just be extended a few months until you finish your time.

Typically 4 years however for extraordinary reasons I've seen people move after 2 and most often 3.
