I applied to 18 schools and have gotten 5 rejections, two interview invites, and one waitlist. I got a 509 on the MCAT (got a 505 the first time and retook it around 3 months later), a 3.96 GPA, and I go to a T5 university that is known for being a very hard school. I have almost 3000 clinical hours, 800 research hours, and 1000+ volunteer hours. I will admit that I submitted both my primaries and secondaries late (with the latest being mid-october), but with the amount of activities I am doing I basically have no time in my schedule ever. With that being said, it looks like I am not going to get into medical school this round and should probably start looking to reapply. I know I should take my MCAT again, but I want to give myself some time to study since I wont be as busy. I will admit that what ****ed me over this time is I was in the mindset that bigger is better so everything was quantity over quality and I ended up crashing and burning whilst applying. Thinking of doing something clinical related like an MA or EMT but should i give myself two years or immediately reapply?
