How long to hear back from UCI?

For those who interviewed at UCI, how long did it take to hear back?

I interviewed on November 8 and on January 15 I was told this via email:

The Admissions Committee has reviewed your completed application and you have not been granted an acceptance at this time.

Please note, this is not a notification of rejection. Your application will remain under consideration until early June, when you will be reviewed for a position on the Alternate List.

Please advise the office directly of any changes in your address. If you do not wish to remain under consideration, please notify us immediately.
••••Damn, UCI is my first choice, I go to undergrad there, I work there, and I research there. They are giving me NO love. (Except the graduate Organic Chemistry deparment really wants me - bah!)

I also interviewed on 11/8 and got put on hold on 1/15.
