How low Part 1 score is aceptable for GPR?

I am thinking about applying for a GPR position. My current Part 1 scores is 78 and I am not sure what my chances will be. My class rank is in top 1/3 of my class. I am studying again right now to take the Part1's again in hopes of getting a better score, and will be taking them in Late Dec.

Do i have any shot at getting in, should i go ahead and apply now? Or should i wait till they come out with the Post Match list and apply to the individual schools? Please advise

I'm highly interested in VA programs, any ideas if I have a shot? If you know the cut-offs for VA programs or for other programs, please share.

your ranking is decent so i think you have a shot. if you have a good reason for your score, then just go ahead and apply! depending on which VA program you are interested in, some are more competitive than the others. last year there are still post-match spots from some VA programs.
