Anywhere between 200-300hrs.

It is not about quanity, it is about quality.

I haven't been counting. Just study til' your comfortable and are scoring a comfortable range on FLs.

Agreed & Agreed. These are the most important things to remember when you are budgeting your study time and deciding when you are actually going to take the test.

For what its worth, however, that TPR did an informal study on this a while ago and found that most of their students capped out at about 400hrs total study.

Very good points above. It is important to be efficient in your studying. A lot of students say they "studied" for 8 hours. But there may have been a significant amount of facebook, email, youtube, myspace time in there. I'm guilty of that quite often.

As mentioned above, the AAMC practice tests are a very strong indicator of how you will do on the real deal. If you are getting scores you want and are comfortable, you should take the test.

It's amazing how much more productive you can be when you don't have a computer, cell phone or ipod within reach.
