how many schools are you guys applying to?

I'm about to send off my apps this week so i'm just wondering if i'm applying to enough schools. I'd rather apply to a lot now then reapply later on. But anyways how many schools are you guys applying to on pharmcas and for those that aren't on pharmcas? i'm thinking..about 15? too much or too little you think?

15? 😱 I would say that's too little. I would go for all the schools that participate in pharmcas. Why not, you only fill out one application anyway 😉

I hope you can afford plane fare for all the interviews! When I applied, I looked for schools that seemed like a good fit for me. Since I had a good PCAT score, I eliminated schools that didn't require the PCAT, because I would not have an advantage there. In the end, I narrowed it down to 3 schools. If PharmCAS had existed, I probably would have applied to about 10 schools.

when i applied, i only applied to 4 schools in california cuz all the out of state ones had later application dates. the way i figured was, if i don't hear back by dec/jan from the CA schools, then i could start applying to out of state schools or schools with later deadlines. that way you can save a bit of money and also really check out which schools you would feel happiest at. also, many schools have secondary applications, so this gave me more time to work on each app. personally, i think 7-10 is a good number (with a better-to-be-safe-then-sorry mentality). good luck!
