Hey everyone,

So I am hoping to click the submit button on my application today. (I feel like everyone else on SDN has applied already and finished their secondaries from some of the threads I've read! Freaking me out a bit.)

But anyway, so is 14 schools too many to apply to? I am applying exclusively to DO schools.

My stats: cGPA: 3.53, sGPA: 3.13, 26R
Good extracurricular/leadership. Starting to shadow 2 DOs this month to get the LOR required for a lot of the schools.

Schools I am applying to:

ATSU-KCOM
ATSU-SOMA
AZCOM
CCOM
DMU-COM
PCOM
PCOM-GA
LECOM-Bradenton
LECOM-Erie/Seton Hill
NYCOM
TOURO-NY
TUCOM-NV
UMDNJ
UNECOM

Thanks!

I think given your stats it is a fair amount. Basically, unless you're horribly uncompetitive you should probably limit your number of schools to probably 10-15, as beyond that you're likely applying to schools which are not going to be exceptional fits. However, that's just my arbitary standard, it really is all up to you and how easily you'll be able to get into certain schools given your stats.
