How many shadowing and clinical volunteering hours?

How many hours of volunteering at a clinic/hospital should I aim for? How many physician shadowing hours should I aim for?
I know there isn't a magic number for either, but what should I aim for? I know it is quality of quantity, but I need to know what to aim for.

300 volunteering, 100 shadowing seems to be a trend. Try to vary it up, too.

It definitely is a quality more than quantity thing and very much depend on the situation.

But for clinical volunteering I'd suggest 1.5 to 3 years at about 3 hours a week.

And I don't know that much about shadowing but I would think a decent amount of time like 10 to 20 hours each.at several different specialties would be good.

Honestly though it really depends on so many other things.
