How many specialties are there for doctors, and is there a list? It's just out of curiosity; I'm not one of the high school students stressing over every single detail in life. 
How many specialties are there for Doctors?

More than 120.
Per AAMC, "Extensive details about more than 120 specialties is within CiM for Students, including personal characteristics, physician compensation, workforce statistics, match data, and links to more than 1,000 specialty groups and publications."
However, those are prob way sub-specialized...when people typically talk about "specialties", more often than not, is it one of the 20-30 generalized ones.
