does anyone know exactly how many spots are left at either school? i interviewed there just recently--due to no fault of my own, but amcas ROYALLY screwed me over--and i'm thinking i may get shafted b/c the schools have already admitted most of their classes...any thoughts?

yes. first, i think you should sue.
secondly, you should really call your friends with DNA exonuclease activity and DNA Ligase to come help you out. <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" /> oh darn it, i kill me

DS breaks... something about homologous recombination repair and end joining repair... on the exam tomorrow... (please excuse the post-cramming, 3am stream-of-consciousness) :D

Anyway, UCSF has not sent out all of its acceptances yet, so don't worry. If you have already interviewed, then you should be in good shape. Of course, BeckyG would probably have the inside info on this... but you might have to wait till later today post-Cancer exam.

Now if I could only remember mismatch repair... :D

Vader, what confidences you have in my abilities to get the info re: admissions! I actually do not know what the status is re: how many have been accepted, but I do know that in a typical year, they would almost be done interviewing and that this year they will probably end in late March-early April. However, now that we don't need to worry about the effect of a mutation in the APC gene and its role in cell proliferation, I can try to find out the answer to this pressing admissions question! Good luck to everyone,

Becky
