How much does a BAD grade history hurt?

Hello,

I graduated with a 3.5s/3.5c GPA after ~5 retakes of Ds and Cs.

I know DO schools replace those retakes out of the GPA calculations but ADCOMs can still see those Ds on my transcript. How much would those Ds will hurt me?

Like you said, they will see them but if you retook and did well (i.e. mostly A's), then you will be fine.

If we penalized students who had Fs and Ds on thier transcripts, DO schools would have classes of 10 students each.

So no, they won't hurt, unless you're still getting them in JR and SR years.
