I enjoy seeing the people who say they should be paid more than entertainers.
(Some of) you were gifted with above average intelligence (A talent, of sorts). Those entertainers were gifted with just as much, if not more, of a talent. It may not be the same talent, but it is the same deal.
So why exactly is your intelligence worth more than Lady Gaga's musical talent?
Spare me the "Because we save lives!!!!!" Firefighters save lives. Cops save lives. Paramedics save lives. All do so for much less than 100k. Try 40k.
You exist because of supply and demand and the fact it isn't very easy for people to start a medical school. The limited number of medical schools due to the limited number of organizations who wish to undertake the financial burden allows the schools which do exist to be picky. That allows for the profession to have smaller numbers. That allows for a high demand vs low supply.
