How much training to become a neurologist?

How many years of training after medical school is required to become a practicing neurologist? Is a fellowship required? During your time as a fellow or a resident do you get a salary? What's the lifestyle like during training and after? Please let me know. 🙂

Welcome to the board. You should do a search, as many of these issues have been discussed at length in the past. Neurology is four years of training after medical school. Fellowship is not required to be boarded in neurology.

All residents and fellows get a salary.
