The title says it all. I may have it the jackpot. One of the orthopedic specialists in my town is a D.O. from PCOM (One of the schools I want to apply to in the summer). I am going to talk to him in the next few days in hopes of shadowing him. If I can get a strong LOR from him, what kind of weight would that carry with PCOM? Does it make any difference?

It can carry a good amount of weight I think. However, you need to make sure he really knows you to write you a good letter.
