Hi,

I was wondering how much weight schools put on the Pharmcas GPA in relation to your real GPA. My problem is I received a D in a Bio class freshman year but retook it for an A. My GPA at the University at Buffalo is 3.64 (overall, with the D replaced) but Pharmcas says I have a 3.42 (overall). My science/math should be around a 3.47 (with the A and D averaged, which is the UB Pharmacy schools policy) at Buffalo, but on Pharmcas my science is a 3.24 (because of the D and A included) and my math is a 4.0. Do pharmacy schools care more about your Pharmcas grades, or your real ones. Thanks! 🙂

It's different for each school. You'd have to inquire directly with each institution.

Yeah I know Buffalo's policy of averaging repeated grades. But that seems like a little too much extra work when PharmCAS has it calculated right there.. I guess I'm just really nervous..

Good luck to you. If Buffalo has an averaging policy, they have to redo the calculations. Otherwise, the policy would make no sense.
