1) i went to take the law for jersey in manhattan . I got there and i had 4 forms of ID : a driver's license , a notarized copy of my passport, my school ID , my SS card , my work ID which has a photocopy and a signature and a photo. My license was expired. Guess what? Despite having all these it was not acceptable to the prick behind the desk ." I dont make the rules NABP does, I just enforce them" I mean the purpose of ID is to IDENTIFY and not to harass you Any reasonable person would have concluded it is me . Well now im a "no show: have to wait to take the exam again, re- register, and pay another $170.

2) NABP screwed and told me i was a no show for naplex when i canceled it properly according to their rules,(2 days prior before noon) had to fight with them to get it corrected got it done

3) the 1st time i took it , they told me i was scheduled for thursday when it was a wednesday ................................i called them up and got it straigthen and here i go again with this crap on MOnday

conclusion : Im calling Jacoby and Meyer's

Jersey, huh. NY is a b#@%&! My name is spelled differently(same name, just more letters) on my birth certificate and when I showed ID for the NABP and NY board exam, they refused to let me in because "I wasn't who I said I was". Had to get a lawyer involved. It was RIDICULOUS.
Anyway, was able to sit for the exams...get this...they took the LAWYER'S word that I was me!

That was a major pain in the butt.

Word to the wise...dot your I's and cross your T's in NYS. They're nitpicky.

I've heard about the draconian processes in NY and NJ. Maryland and Michigan are also reputed to have a lawyer prerequisite for admission.

I haven't heard of any Michigan problems. I've seen several Rph's (BS and PharmD) get licensed in MI, with no problems. I do think that they have a "proof of good moral character" clause or something, but out of 10 or 15 (young) pharmacists, I don't know of any snags. There are some really good areas up there with a critical pharmacist shortage (=good money).
