so i got my first invite at drexel but i the first available they had was 4/17. i really want to go sooner and wondering how often should i bug the admissions? for those of you who successully re-scheduled, how often did you call?
thanx

didn't apply to this school, but I got called one day to see if I could come to an interview for which someone cancelled. So you could get in that way.

i would call every week... its only one phone call so i doubt that they will find you annoying... i would just pick a day and call every week on that day. Spots are bound to open up.

Good luck guys!!!

Yeah I agree. I don't know why people are so concerned about calling the school. If anything it will show that you really want to go there..something that is important at a school like Drexel b/c I assume a lot of their applicants apply there as a "safety"- as if there were such a thing 😉

If the Drexel Admissions office are a group of nice folks, you could ask them how often you should call. Call the first time, and ask "I am relaly interested in Drexel and know that the sooner I interview, the better my chances. Could you please recommend to me how often i should check for earlier open interview spots?"

Maybe they will put your app in a file "to call if spots open."

Oh my god, this would be a really dreamy ideal situation, wouldn't it?

I got my interview bumped up 3 months. I literally called them every day--even twice a day to ask about cancellations. One of the very nice administrative assistants there said that a cancellation usually stays available for a half an hour to an hour before someone snaps it up. I found that as long as I was polite and reasonably apologetic about my incessant calling, the staff were not too bothered by me. Also, since interviews are on Mondays and Wednesdays, call on Fridays and Tuesdays and expect to have to travel there on short notice. I had one day's notice to get there! good luck!

thanx guys, drexel admissions, beware 🙂

good luck with your interview madonna! 😉

thanx, how did you lor thing work out?

Case had my letter - my name was misspelled (can you believe that) so they didn't know for sure whether it was for me or not. They updated it and my app is complete as of 12/15. It kind of sucks because it should've been completed long before but because of that fiasco I have to wait a looong time until I hear back.

And I called WF after reading the WF thread and I got the same response - that I was in the top applicant pool and the lady scheduled me my first interview. Needless to say I was happy. ^^
