I have a very strong upward GPA trend in undergrad, 3.3->3.5->4.0->4.0, giving me a cGPA of 3.75. How will adcoms view this? Should I be targeting schools with a 3.7 GPA median? Additionally, is this something I should address or explain in my application? It is primarily due to not being ready for the rigors of college classes and trouble adjusting to college.
Rising GPA trends are always good. Consider your GPA to be 3.7.

You do NOT discuss this in the PS. Only where you are asked.

This upward trend is quite positive. It's not something you need to explain away. My perception seeing your GPA trend, knowing nothing else about you is that you initially had a small struggle and then gradually adapted to your workload, becoming a better student as you continued. No need to address this trend in your application; it will look good.
