Your graduate GPAs, are they from a research based program, a SMP or a post-bac of some sort, or something else, like an MPH?I am a reapplicant and thinking of how to rework which schools I am applying to. After receiving two interviews this past cycle (waitlisted at both, fingers crossed for good news), I am thinking that I should give a second thought to where I am applying this cycle. I have a bachelor's degree in biology and attended a one-year special master's program.
Undergrad cGPA: 3.44
Undergrad BCPM GPA: 3.18
Graduate cGPA: 3.94
Graduate BCPM GPA: 4.00
MCAT total: 519 (128, 129, 132, 130)
I think that my GPA is by far the weakest point in my application. I spent 3 years working in an immunology lab, have quite a bit of volunteering experience, and have spent the past year working as a medical assistant. I am newly a Texas resident for this application cycle, last cycle I was considered a Virginia resident.
Any advice is appreciated, thank you in advance!
If a research-based program, MD schools will discount that, but DO schools will.
