I have everything complete on my AMCAS except the personal statement. I have a 34 MCAT and 3.91 GPA with ECs including president and other leadership roles in a service org (Habitat for Humanity), tutoring, several jobs, leadership in AMSA, and some shadowing and volunteer (albeit small) experience in the ER. I guess my question is, How late can I submit my application without putting myself at a huge disadvantage? I had set the end of June as my deadline, but I'm not done with the personal statement yet, and I don't want to rush it and send something crappy. Thanks for any help! 🙂

Quality PS is of significant importance; if you wait to submit at the end of June you'll be good.

Be careful that you don't wait until late July - most schools will be already downloading all the early applicants at that point, and you may be caught in a rush for AMCAS to verify the application.

Rule of thumb is earlier is better, and that's what you can control. You can't control the receipt of transcripts at AMCAS nor AMCAS verification.

If you shoot for the 4th of July you should be fine. You have great stats; getting your AMCAS in early will help you out even more. Good luck.
