How to calculate overall GPA

I understand AMCAS recalculates your GPA but is there anyway we can do that ourselves before we apply? I'm a nontrad. I have a business degree with a 3.8 GPA. At my current school, after my first 2 semesters I have a 3.6, but I'm dual enrolled for ROTC so my ROTC credits come from an entirely different institution (where I have a 4.0). How do I get all three of these together and calculate my overall GPA?

add up the credit hours + weight the grade points based on the credit hours, average it all together and you have your GPA. I would google "how to calculate weighted averages" if you need help with the math.
