Looking through the publications of your specialty can be useful if they have a classified section. I also used the annual directory of my specialty to find specialists in the area I wanted to practice and contact them with a cover letter and CV. My program director also gets multiple mailings each week from practices across the country looking for associates. Networking is also valuable.

I actually looked at the local newspaper (the LA times) to find jobs and thats how I got all 3 part time jobs right after my ortho residency. I flew home on Friday, started my 1st job on Saturday ..and picked up a brand new car on Sunday.
