I would like to shadow, intern, assist or really anything in dental office.

However, I cant seem to find any dental offices in my location that are offering any opportunities.

What are some alternatives I can do? Any recommendations on websites I could use?
Should I resort to general volunteer work?

I was in your shoes a couple of years ago, struggling to find any types of opportunities in the dental field. I believe the best way to find these chances are going through Indeed, Craigslist, and just calling different offices. Seriously. I sent out probably 20-30 copies of my resume to so many offices and called everywhere I could just to get that one 'yes'! Finally found one general dentist who took me under her wing and allowed me to start working as a sterile tech - where I ended up learning so much about how an office runs. One year later, I ended up pursuing assisting, and then the following year becoming an OMFS assistant! Its all about networking and finding connections within your community. Best of luck!
