how to get to loyola?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
First off - congratulations on the Loyola interview!! You will love it.

In the packet that they sent you should be a few pamphlets with detailed schedules on the buses that will pick you up from the L - but you might want to consider just taking a cab to the interview from downtown (about $40) that way you don't have to worry about schedules etc.

I think you should just fly into whichever airport is cheapest. WRT hotels, I used priceline and got a nice hotel on the loop for $75!! Good luck!

so does anyone know if its possible to get to loyola by public transit the morning of an interview if im staying in downtown chicago??

if its ridiculous, what airport is closer and any hotel recommendations as I might have to fly in the night before and go from airport to hotel that night and then just to interview in the morning??

I'm a M2 at loyola. Don't use public transportation from downtown, that's a nightmare. However, since it's against the rushhour, traffic isn't too bad.

Either airport is fine. Pick a hotel that has complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. Many hotels will shuttle you to loyola as well. Or just take a taxi.

Call admissions, they'll help you. Have their number in your phone in case you get lost.

Have fun! I love this school!

public transportation can get you close (the blue line train goes all the way from o'hare to forest park, ~1 mile from the school)...but then you'd have to walk or take the bus, not a good plan. on interview day, you want to do as much as possible to reduce stress, as you'll already be stressed about the interview. take a taxi/shuttle or whatever. i'd call that the best advice. and like everyone else said, congrats on the interview! 🙂 good luck. feel free to pm or post any questions you have prior to the interview.
