How to interpret AAMC official practice test scores?

I took a NS practice exam and got a 499, with my %s correct being 64%, 60%, 63% and 71%/
Today I took the AAMC official practice test and got 75%, 96%, 66%, and 88%.

To me, this seems like a pretty drastic improvement (with the exception of bio and biochem), but I really want to know how much of an improvement it is. I know in the past I saw people posting their % correct scores and people were saying "Well based on that you got an *insert score here*". I can't find those posts anymore, but I'm wondering how they calculated that.

no one has any clue. i'd say shoot for 80% and above on all sections. also, the verbal on the practice exam seemed unusually easy, so i don't think there's a gauge the scaled score on it
