Med student starting Heme/onc in patient service soon. Anything specific I can read for handeling chemotherapy toxicity, etc? Anything specific to include in presentations that differes from general IM?

Also, I am a bit confused about the typical patient I will be seeing... are these patients mostly dealing with chemo side affects?

Thank you

This varies too much between programs to give you useful advice. Just show up early, ask your senior/fellow how you can help and be as present as possible. You should get a handle on what they want from you within a few days.
