how to study for CBT?

if the CBT is shortened will there be less topics covered? i will be taking the CBT version of MCATs. im taking about post august 2006 when the writing sample is no longer availible. advice? im getting mcat books for xmas from my best friend so i wnat to know if its useless. if it is i can tell him not to get it for me.

I would tell him no go on the books.
As you said, it will be shortened but no one knows if topics will be cut, how many ?'s will be cut, etc.

The new crop of books should be coming out soon. Tell him to give you a amazon/BN gift card and then purchase them later.

The AAMC tests will again probably be revised to reflect the changes and sold in the new format.

Its good you want to get a jump on it but the plans aren't firm for the test yet as far as a student would know.

They've been contacting old Kaplan students about taking practice CBTs to test out the systems they're developing.
