Hey guys I'm trying to understand how to write the PS. It's 5300 characters right? Are you just suppose to talk about what ECs/experiences were significant to you? Like what you learned with them and how they make you want to be a doctor? I've heard some say you need a theme? I graduated last June and I am applying now. Do I have to say why I applied a year after senior year or anything or what I have been up to? Also I went part-time during one of my quarters during senior year. Do I need to even talk about this if my GPA is great? My counselors said I don't. If you guys can help break down this PS thing and how to write it that would be great. Thanks guys.

Why do you want to be a doctor?

Intro: I want to become a doctor.
Body: These are the reasons why I want to become a doctor ______
Conclusion: And that's why I want to become a doctor.

yeah def. but for that body you show why you want to be a doc through your experiences. for example volunteering in a hospital. you got patient contact you enjoyed communicating, watching surgeries, etc. is that what it is?
