hi!

i was just wondering what the guidlines were on writing thank you notes to your interviewers? Can you include information about yourself to help them remember you? thanks!

Dear whoever,

Thanks dude, you are awesome. We talked up some crazy sh**. I hope we hit it again next time too. ***king awesome!

Your homie,
ASDf

I just write that I appreciate the opportunity to meet with them, that I enjoyed the interview (something specific, like what you talked about), and I look forward to possibly seeing them in the coming years.

Yea, I don't know if there's some proper outline for it.

It is also an opportunity to include something, not mentioned in the interview, that you feel is important for the adcom committee to know.

And, then to kiss a little more a**.

yall think its better to email the thank you letters or actually snail mail them?

Snail mail. It shows that you actually put SOME effort into it, instead of typing a 30 second message and hitting "send".

I don't know about you, but I enjoy getting snail mail more than e-mail! Probably for that same reason...

In most cases I would agree that snail mail is better, and more personal. However, during my LECOM-Bradenton interview, we were told that the committee would meet the very next day. After my flight back home, the very same night, I emailed everyone that I had met earlier that day because I wanted to make sure that my name would be fresh in their minds when the comittee met. I don't know whether or not it helped, but I did get in. Obviously, it didn't hurt to do it that way.

Scpod is right. Send thank yous right away. And some of them will even write back! But them writing back does not mean s.........!

Instead of a thank you letter could I just thank someone who wrote me a letter of rec. in person?

I don't think there's any guideline for writing thank you notes. I think you can write them what ever you like.

There's no guidelines because in my opinion its a worthless practice.

Why should I be ****ing thanking them? Because they 'gave consideration' to my application?

Bull**** I say. I earned their 'consideration'
