How will the 2021-2022 admissions cycle be effected by COVID related MCAT cancellations?

Hello! I'm new to SDN and would like your opinions about this topic. As a junior in college, I have decided to take a gap year because of my need for more clinical experience. Due to the 2.5 months of MCAT cancellations happening because of COVID, would more people applying this upcoming cycle decide to take gap years, increasing competition for the 2021-2022 by an insane amount? Thank you guys for looking into this thread! Appreciate it.
