Hello All!

Thanks for the advice in advance. I intend to pursue an HHMI summer fellowship following my M1 year. I understand that the applicant must contact investigators prior to the submission of the application. Hence, I will likely have to distribute a CV. I was wondering if anyone could comment, especially those have had success with contacting a mentor, what I should include on this CV. I don't think it is appropriate to have volunteering and shadowing experiences... I was thinking more of just a description of my research projects as well as a bibliography containing publications and poster presentations. I haven't won many awards and it is not like I am a member of countless organizations. Basically, any input or thoughts are appreciated. I do plan on including a cover letter to explain where I will be going for M1, why his/her research, why I want to do research, etc.

Thanks!
