On my lunch break right now, hopped over to the computer lab for a bit. All the damn freshies moving in made the lines are restaurants way too long to get any chow.

PS was much more difficult than I anticipated. It was almost nothing like the AAMC exams. Maybe it was just my form (FH), but it seemed very heavy on calculations and formula manipulation-type stuff. I had a lot more physics than chemistry, and two or three passages dealing specificially with physics II material. I haven't had physics II yet. 😱 I'd be happy with an 8 on PS. I scored 9-10 on the practice exams, so who knows...

I did like the passage about the electrician and the VOM. That was nuts.

I feel much better about the VR section. It was pretty much like the AAMC exams, so I'm expecting an 8-12 on it.

Still have writing and BS to go, then I'm done! 👍

By the way, did anyone else laugh at the people who were studying in the halls while waiting for the test rooms to open? It's a bit late for that I think.

Also having my break now. Your form (FK) is similar to what I got in April (retaker). I thought I had bombed the PS which is generally what I am most confident about, but I got a 10 on it. Don't worry you'll do fine.

So far my PS is promising. VR looks as sullen as before, but I am hoping for a miracle.

I agree about the PS. I thought I had totally bombed it (I took the MCAT last April) and it ended up being my highest score. I think that everyone is at a disadvantage on that section (nervousness, etc.), so the curve ends up being the same.

JK, I have FH too...And thought PS was way hard. On lunch myself here....PS yes, real calc heavy and real physics heavy which are both huge disadvantages for me....Glad I'm not the only one who felt that way. Hoping for a curve...Yes, I too got 9-10s on my practice tests so praying to God the curve makes up for it. Yikes! But yeah felt decent about verbal....here we goooo 🙂 Glad the day is finally here and almost over but man oh man do I not want to pop open these scores in october and see a horrendous PS!

Be careful of tricks on BS........MCAT writers like to try to slip a few in at the end of the day when you are not as mentally alert.....

for some reason i didnt think PS all that hard, but people say the sections you think you bombed you do well on, and vice versa.

I've got form AG. seems like everyone in my test center has AG or DG.

And VR... maybe im just unnaturally 'on' today, but everyone else agreed, there wasn't a single passage that you wouldnt rank anything higher than a 'now'

No kidding.....I didn't even talk to other people in my testing center let alone log on SDN during a break--I didn't want anything to ruin my focus and concentration....nothing other ppl said could help me. Once a section was over I just forgot about it and got in the "mode" for the next section.......

I actually don't remember what they were. I noticed one was very similar to one of the VR passages from 4R.

I remember some crap about art critics and something about economics or business.

I feel I did really well on BS. It may be the time of day; I have been functioning as an afternoon/night person for a year, so getting up at 5:30AM probably didn't help my mental acquity for PS.

The writing was incredibly stupid.

Na, the one about Darwin's theory and cultural evolution. Looking back at 4R, it's actually not that similar, it just reminded me of it for some reason.

I was talking about the passage regarding language development in humans and use the of whatever-they-are-called and imitation as an evolutionary concept. I enjoyed that passage, it's almost straight out of psychology.

I remember a passage in BS about the sexually promiscuous birds.
