I am really worried that I don't have enough of these classes to fulfill some school's requirements (USC has a 30 unit requirement ). But, I have some AP credits. So far, I've taken 8 units english, 4 units polsci, and 4 units history. I also have 13 units from AP that show up on my transcript.
Which schools do I have no hope of getting in to? And, am I screwed for USC?

Schools will vary on their requirement for humanities/social science courses. From what I remember, the requirement at USC is one of the bigger ones. I'd check school websites or the MSAR to be certain. But your 29 credits would be good at most schools, and if they don't take AP then your 16 is good too.

What areas does this cover specifically? Are all English, writing and history courses included as well?

i noticed in the MSAR that a couple of schools like it when u take psyc or ethics classes so maybe u want to take a couple of those
