Hello All,

I was wondering, do you guys think I stand a chance at getting an interview or even being accepted if by the time I start applying to med school (in Aug/Sept. 2006) I have only 6-7 months of hospital volunteer experience, 3 years volunteer exp in my community as a youth leader (religious)? The reason why I would only have 6-7 months is because I am just about to start my volunteering in a hospital this february.

Let's say for example I apply to med school this August/Sept with a GPA of 3.44, MCAT of 33N (B10,P12,V11), do I stand a chance?

BTW, I am applying to more or less every school (DO and MD) in the states of Illinois, Michigan, and NY.

You have chances of getting into any school you apply to. Some people will have more than 6 months of volunteering. Others will have less. Stop worrying.

yes, don't worry . . most of my volunteer experience was through my church, and i had only been in a local hospital volunteer program for 3 months when i had my interviews. good luck!
