Hello:

I will be returning to my undergrad. school Case Western Reserve University for my second year this fall. I really like CWRU, but for personal reasons I need to move to a different region of the US. I am looking for a school in the Eastern VA/Washington D.C. area. It is important to me to go to a school that is well-respected in med. school circles (I did't mean for that to sound pretentious).

I've done a bit of school searching, but the websites paint biased pictures. Please let me know of any schools/programs you recommend. I appreciate all help. Thanks!

Georgetown, GW, UVa, Johns Hopkins, William and Mary...

I would recommend Hopkins if you can get in. If not, then Georgetown is a great school, although I haven't heard much about their science department. Seems it's a much more an international politics school.

My boyfriend also went to CWRU for a year and also decided he needed to get out of Cleveland. He ended up transfering to Duke and he loves it there. I realize Duke's not in Eastern VA/DC but it's close, and you should consider it because it has such a strong medical school.
