OH my gosh, I was nervous as heck....it was only a letter, and it was so thin....

I was like OH NO rejection letter already.... 🙁 sobbed for 2 minutes.....and I went to check the rest of the mail...

and then I was like

Should I open it?

no, I shouldn't

Should I?

nah,

Should I?

it could be bad news

well maybe it is good news?

nah, don't risk it....

well finally to make a 30 minute episode short...it was addressed to me?! didn't just say, Dear applicant...but actually my last name.....gosh I was like, DEEEEEP BREATH

and said (I paraphrase)

Dear Mr. Watcha:

Just wanted to let you know, that your file is complete and you shouldn't worry your pretty head anymore. Of course, we are still waiting for the verified copy, but don't worry about that. AMCAS is supposed to do it. Now when they do it, only the god of watcha knows, but we hope this year maybe?

Yeah, I got one from them a few weeks ago. It basically said that there isn't anything more that you can do. I think I got the same type of tone letter from Dartmouth... that you've done your part, now it's up to AMCAS to get their act together.

Oh, and for those following, you will know that one of my writers is on maternity leave. Well, she sent a huge stack of envelopes I had left her off a few days ago. Thank God! And things seem to be ok now, as I can talk to the husband about this, as he's usually on campus because he's got a class to teach.

Watcha You are too funny! I got the same letter a few days ago as well ... and went through the same should I ... shouldn't I painful 15 mins.
I'm so glad to know there are other who react to letters the way I've been lately! ... its proof that I havn't yet gone loony.

Boy I am the exact opposite. When I received this letter a few weeks ago, I tore the envelope open so quickly that I ripped the letter up pretty badly. I pieced it together only to find that it said my app was complete and then ripped it up even worse before throwing it away. Darn them for psyching us out! 😡
