Hey guys-I am a 4th year med student and was just on a rotation with a kid who went to Ross medical school and he had nothing good to say about it-he wasunder the impression that Ross was the best and that is why he went there but in retrospect he recomended St. George's over Ross if you have your choice-I know I have heard those are the top 2 caribean schools-anyway I know through my years I heard a lot about Ross being pretty good etc but this is first hand from him. Dont get me wrong he landed a US residency in FP and he said their 3rd and 4th year are well set up-but so is St Georges so if you do have the choice just wanted to give you all a heads up.

I dont know first hand as I go to a US MD school so dont ask me for any first hand info-good luck to you all-it sure SUCKEd applying i feel for you all!

huh? I was just giving people some info from someone who lived and went to school their and their opinion on the place-I know a lot of people choose between Ross and St. George so I wanted to say I have heard much better things about the other.

thanks for the inside info OP.. it is a little confusing to distinguish differences between the Caribbean schools, esp Ross and SGU which are said to be the top 2

I tell ya-you get nothing but crap in return for trying to help someone out-I could careless I am almost graduated a top 20 med school, interviewed at all my top choices and will match into an amazing program-ya know if you wanna go to ross than you probably suck anyway so it wont much matter where ya go-a caribean caliber students is sub-par anyway so what does it matter where they really go-they will be a crapy doc

Speaking about exchange rates.... I was reading up to prepare for my upcoming trip to Nepal.....apparently the Maoist rebels will put up roadblocks and demand a "donation" in order to let you pass....something like 10 rupees. Now, you want to talk about a crappy exchange rate, there are 75 rupees to the dollar. "Here's $20 now let us go please." "$20!? Would you like a Kalishnakov as a souvenir of your trip to Nepal?"
