I know I have asked this before, but now I'm kind of starting to worry...

I submitted AADSAS for six schools on May 23rd (LORs included). I have gotten receipt emails from UIC, Tufts, and Columbia. However, no contact from BU, Harvard, or NYU. Harvard and NYU have sure cashed my checks though. Is it too much to ask for them to at least acknowledge that your application arrived by now even if they are not interested? Also I still have no updates or indications that my apps arrived at any of these schools on my AADSAS page. Isn't there supposed to be something showing up on the At Designated Schools tab? Anyone apply to these schools and hear something yet? I know it's still very early, but if something happened with my app and I need to resend, I'd like to know sooner rather than later....

AADSAS does take quite a while to update your application progress from what I recall when I applied last year. I would recommend contacting the schools to check what they have received or if anything is still missing.

As for the schools themselves, NYU and BU both have a very high number of applicants and may just take longer in reviewing their applicants. I applied very early last cycle and didnt hear/interview with NYU until early December but then was accepted a few days later.

Throughout the cycle continue to monitor you application and contact the schools to make sure your application is complete. Best of luck.

Thanks, I will. Some of them say not to call about app status though. So what then?

welcome to the application game.
Only a few schools I applied to last year updated at all on the AADSAS website, and that wasnt even worth it.

a lot of schools will take their time before getting back to you. you just have to go on good faith that they will contact you. if you really want to know call the schools up, and chances are they wont give you much if any good info.

This is how the applications go. you apply hear nothing for a long time, then get something in the mail then not hear anything again for a while. all the while thinking what is going on.

Ok, I guess I know more of what to expect now....nothing! Lol, it's moreso that I hope nothing is missing or got lost.

Can't speak for the others, but I didn't hear from Harvard until they invited me for an interview in mid-September. Some schools just never update AADSAS.
