hello everybody, im just wondering if you guys could give me some insights on this>

i am about to finish my internship this may. Now at 23 yo, I graduated MD from university of the philippines and i was planning to pursue MPH next spring.

GPA: 3.0
GMAT: 670
experience: assistant health policy researcher in National institute for health in the philippines for about 1 year. we did health policies in Helmet law, revision of the medical act of the philippines and handwashing policy for schools.
I also did two electives in NYC. one in robotic surgery and one in primary health care (Mt. sinai 2007)

My experience could be summarized in my video in community development: check youtube jekab1985 community medicine

I am planning to apply to Columbia Mailman and NYU wagner. Do you think i have a shot? im actually counting on diversity and being from the 3rd world to be at least considered.

Are you kidding? you have AMAZING experience. Infact, I think if you just applied to Columbia - you would no doubt get in, but you would be limiting your options, you could do way better. Apply to Harvard for sure.... unless your very set on being in NYC, in that case Columbia is better than NYU.
