Below are the grades I have received in a post-bac program and I would like to apply to an MD school. I have not taken the MCATs yet. What are my chances of getting accepted into an MD school if my MCAT score is at least 30? Would you recommend I repeat any of these courses?

Physics I: A

General Chemistry I: A-

What is your undergrad GPA? Also, might want to showcase your EC's or the people around here will eat you alive.

You could have just posted your favorite hobbies, that would also be able enough for us to know the odds of you getting in.

A's are generally considered good.
B's are considered less good, but not terrible.

Maybe posting up your GPA & EC's would be a good place to start?

No chance at all, without an MCAT your not getting in haha.

And you made an A- thats grounds for automatic rejection.

Seriously though, you have good grades, but tahts about all we know about you.

Unfortunately grades are only a piece of the puzzle. It's like saying, "so I have 300 hours of volunteer service at a hospital, what are my chances of getting in?" Though your grades seem fine as long as you didn't bomb undergrad.<-----(I just like this one, not using it for any particular emotion I'm trying to express)

I have tons of Bs and 2 Cs and I still got into 3 med schools. take the time you're spending posting every single one of your grades on SDN and find some ECs/volunteer activities that you are genuinely passionate about, and do them.

Thank you all for your replies. It seems like there is a consensus that I should have also posted a listing of EC/volunteer activities besides my grades. Trust me, I have enough EC/volunteer activities under my belt to impress a medical school. However, something is confusing me here. I have always been told that medical school admissions committees will always look at the GPA and MCAT scores first and then determine from there whether or not the applicant's EC/volunteer activities have something good to say.

On top of that, I was a political science and history major when I did my undergraduate work. However, I did take some pre-med classes when doing my undergraduate career and I JUST learned that those grades will also be factored into my science GPA on the AMCAS application. Even though I took each one of those courses again in the post-bac and then some more, those grades will still factor in even after I have done considerably well in the post-bac. Anyway, I'm afraid that those undergraduate courses will bring down my science GPA and medical schools won't look at my application at a whole.

Some schools require you to explain B-'s, just a heads up...

you have checked the GPA box. it is all about the MCAT now. also ECs and LORs.

dude, really, you have a piece of the ticket but you WILL NOT get in on your grades without the other stuff. watch these threads for awhile and you will see.

I had a few C's on my transcript and was still accepted to one of my top choices, so don't sweat about any of your non-A's.

But it sounds from your posts that you just want people to tell you what you want to hear... If not, I agree with all the other posts that you need to share more info about yourself (GPA, MCAT, EC's, etc...) and not just say "trust me, I'm a hotshot". That being said, I still don't think there is any formula. Sometimes it seems pretty damn random who gets in and doesn't...

Also (to address your question)... I don't think you are correct about ECs at all. It is true that without a competitive MCAT and GPA you may not be able to get your foot in the door, but once that happens, my impression is that ECs and personality on interview day are extremely important.

why would you think grades just "go away?" you are responsible for your entire record and all grades go into your GPA.

you are not listening to the posts here of people who are gong thru this. GPA and MCAT give you a lottery ticket. whether you hit the jackpot depends on all the rest or your experiences. you can have a 4.0/40 and without the rest of the picture, you will not have the results you seem to think you deserve.
