You don't need to give up yet, if you turn things around now.

If you can get straight As for the next two years, you can pull your GPA up to 3.6, which is competitive for MD schools with a decent MCAT score.

Or you can repeat classes you did poorly in and apply to DO schools which only include the most recent grade if you retake, raising your GPA faster. You would not need as high an MCAT score to be competitive for osteopathic schools.

You can spend a fifth year in college if need be.
 
You don't have to give up, but you do need to do better. Medical school certainly isn't going to be easier than undergrad, and schools want to know you'll be able to suceed. I understand the sentiment of coming from a poor high school, I did as well. It can make things hard, but you have to take responsibility for your own grades. Get extra help if you need it. Finally, schools aren't going to take "I go to a hard school" as an excuse for poor grades, so don't try to use it as one.
