so after a few interviews, i'm really regretting my first one, which was vanderbilt. it's the school i want to get in the mostand wish i didn't schedule it first. even though it was a relaxed interview, i feel i came off poorly and anxious. it wasn't until after my first one, that i'm now comfortable with doing interviews. and i tried doing a mock one, but having a real one was just different. it's kinda like when you're starting off in the semester and you don't really start studying until you get that first test back.

so my advice is to not schedule a school you really want to go to as a first interview. or maybe you all will simply fair better than me.

Don't worry, I think I fumbled my vandy interview too (it was also my first one). On one question, I sat there saying "umm" and "hmm" for like 20 sec before I answered her. :scared: :scared:

The medical student tour guides said that the interview doesn't influence the admissions that much, mainly because the interviewers just send up a typed report instead of presenting your case to the committee personally

don't worry, i had the same trouble with vandy because it was my first, but i also hear that if you interview with vandy this early, your chances of getting in there (right away or off the waitlist) are 3 times as good as interviewing later. at least you're not alone in this boat!

don't worry too much, I think everyone is just as nervous as you are about interviews. Do your best and do not think about it too much.
