I still have no idea when to take the MCAT 2015

Hi guys, pretty straightforward: right now I am debating between taking the MCAT 2015 in September of this year and studying all summer, OR

Taking it in Spring around April 2016, so that I can have my results and apply by beginning of June.

I am currently a junior, however, I am not applying this cycle and so I will be doing a gap year. I'm taking biochem and Organic II in the summer.

Any preference/experience towards one or the other?

I saw how miserable some friends were trying to study for the MCAT during a full semester, so I studied in summer while taking a prereq as well and took it just before going back into Fall semester. Very much recommend the summer study option, it's much easier to keep a steady schedule when only balancing one other course.
