First of all--props to all those who scored a million on their mcats :) --this forum is not for you.

its for all the rest who, against their better judgement, turned to this forum to feel encouraged and ended up wanting to lose their lunch.

(is it just me? )

WHERE ARE THE OTHER PEOPLE?

The one's with the "average" scores? Obviously not everyone recieved a 20V 23PS 28B and ZWS...so why are only the top %tile reporting? How about the rest?

I'd appreciate hearing I'm not alone on this... [email protected]

Hi Kristin,
Not sure on how poor your scores are, but you are not alone. I myself am not happy with mine, but I'm trying not to get "too" hung up on it.

If you need encouraging support, I think you will find it much much more in the Pre-Allo forum, since there are hundreds of other people visiting there and they are bound to give you support and good advice. I wish i could help you, but I am afraid I can't even help myself feel better about this whole thing. My best wishes to you. If you need support for application AMCAS or anything else, PM me. I know I can do atleast that.

Be well.

Yep, pretty pissed with mine. I felt like barfing this whole weekend myself. Instead I just bashed my keyboard to pieces and that made me feel much better. :p :)

It wasn't so much the score itself but the fact that I put everything I had into this f***ing thing and its seemed that the score just didn't reflect the effort. My AAMC practice tests were never this low either in the weeks leading up to the exam. This was my 2nd time taking the test BTW. For now, I'm not retaking.

hey guys dont worry, i am in the same boat got a 19 myself. Just gotta hang in there and remain focused. I dunno i studied my ass off as well, but where i lacked was the fact that i was doing a million other things on the side, so i wasn't really that focused. Its one thing to know the material, but to link it all together you definately need to understand it. So i don't know if that applies to you, but for me i believe that is the key to pulling out a yoda and getting a 30 or so :)

Anyways, I did average TWICE on my MCAT...28Q both times. The first time I was bummed, but it was no biggie since I knew I would take it again and would apply then. However, I was devastated when I saw my scores for this time. I literally cried all day, ate ice cream, and watched General Hospital.

I know how you feel when you say you're surrounded by over-achievers, but that's life. I am just happy that the ones on this board are nice about it and don't rub it in your face. (ie. you got a WHAT on your MCAT??)

Trust me, I am the embodiment of being average. Just remember, you don't have to be exceptional to get in...just gotta make the cutoffs and WOW them with your interview.

nope a 19. I knew the material inside and out, just that i am horrible at reading, i hate reading so i tend to zone out and this damn test is timed to. So that is my major flaw that i need to overcome.

hey depressed people of this forum.......c'mon now...we all have to believe the fact that no one can be perfect all the time...we've all heard the wiseman words===> "Crap Happens!"...some of us expected to skrew up this test...others were taken by surprise..like myself...but what's happened has happened! crying, shouting, vomiting, etc etc would serve us no good! If u know where u went wrong and u are willing to work hard to improve...then stop the whining and start working! u'll get there, its not the end of the world!...my 26-O (V:06, PS:11, BS:09) felt like a bitchslap when it came on that PC screen...and i've been a 4.00 student all my life till i graduated from college...but hey...even though it hurts me to re-study for that test..i'm gonna do it...don't let a stupid test like this hold u from ur dreams ya'll....PeAcE!

Anyways, you should take practice tests before you take the real thing next time. If you are scoring <25 on your timed practice tests, I would just not take it and study harder for next time.

no i don't have ADHD or ADD or ADS, i just am part of way too many other organizations which clutters my mind. So am totally ignoring everything now besides the mcat. Also i think 25 is a decent score, it will get me in at least 50% of the DO schools. I might even have a shot at a MD school as well because i have done tons of research and other good stuff.

THAT's the attitude!!! Keep it up, Khiladi. :)

We are all going to make a difference in other people's lives, someday. It's just HOW we get there, that matters. :)
