Stop giving away free money to every damn kid that applies. Will fix all the problems real fast.

So what criteria would you propose for qualifying for student loan?

Preferably one that wouldn't leave low income families in the dust.

I see income forgiveness cap as the best solution to IBR. This program is toppling harder than social security. Jeez.

Cap the amount available.

Well subsidized and unsubsidized loans do have a cap. So I guess the problem are the PLUS loans. And for undergrads, they require parents to cosign.

So I guess the government did try... Just isn't working very well

Yea, a limit that has risen significantly over the last 16 years.

You think that the loan limit was the same back in 2000 that is it now? Or do you really think running a dental school has gotten that much more expensive since 2000?

I wouldn't worry about it. Until it's official, you will have PSLF.
