So I was initially recruited for an inpatient role but am temporarily doing outpatient while the inpatient hospital undergoes some organizational / administrative changes. I do full time outpatient now with 4-5 pts per day as I just started. The plan is to have me do 1 day in clinic when I transition to the inpatient role. This is an academic position. What would be an ideal total panel so that I don’t overwhelm myself and still have time to see my patients in a timely manner. There is no other psychiatrist at the outpatient location and less likely that there would be one after I transition. Intakes are 1hr and follow ups are 30 mins. Thank you.
