Hi, everyone! I know it's very early considering VIRMP applications don't open until November, but I'm looking to start putting together my letter of intent/personal statement (for a small animal rotating internship) and I was wondering if I could take a look at some of yours to draw inspiration? Thanks in advance!

Honestly, the point of a letter of intent is for it to be personal. Write about what makes you passionate about veterinary medicine, your goals for the future, and what you think you can bring to the field. Or write about a very specific focus of medicine? What you can do is have a friend/family member and a specialist or intern/resident proofread it afterwards. You have plenty of time to hone it. Write it, have someone edit it, and look at it again after about a week so you can see if the message truly resonates.

Hey there if you want to PM and I would happy to share with you my previous personal statement if it helps to see an example but as @nicts said it should be personal so ultimately you should draw from your personal values and experiences to write an excellent letter. I included some personal statement tips and other VIRMP applications in an article I wrote for SDN earlier this month. Feel free to check it out. Hopefully it helps:
