If prelim/TY programs I'm really interested in have sent out invites..

    And I did not receive one, does that mean I probably won't and should maybe consider applying to other programs in the area? Thanks!

    wanted to bump this thread. some of the TYs are the only program in a particular area where I feel compelled to go for personal reasons. Would it be inappropriate to contact them?

    I contacted programs. It's fine, especially for ty/prelim years. It helped my cause in one case at least.
