It's all 'bout God's strategy
In an effort to alleviate all those no-acceptances blue, how 'bout what you would do with the schools that waitlisted you, rejected you, ignored you, etc if you like mad ace the boards further down the line?

Ha Ha

I would probably do it too, show up and do that silly dance and then walk out all dignified, nose up in the air and all LOL

Not only would I do the "can't touch this" dance all over the desks of the adcom, but I'd also apply to their residency program. When they asked why I didn't apply to *their* school, I'd say "I did. You refused to even offer me an interview. At least I don't hold a grudge." (ok, that last sentence is a little lie - but they don't have to know that.)

 Either that or at the interview, at the end you can tell them that you won't be ranking them for the match!! Thanks anyway!!

Going back a step, many of my ugrad profs did not think that I could make it into med school. My ugrad advisor actually tried to discourage me, and our "premedical advisor" (quotes b/c the man knew less than I did,) laughed in my face. When I get my acceptance, I'm going to photocopy it and send it to all of those nay-sayers, with a note saying something like:

Dear Prof. Smith,

Thanks for all of your support. Because of what you said, I was even more motivated to pursue my dream of attending medical school. I remember you telling me all those years ago how suitable of a candidate you'd thought I'd be, and those words have helped me through all of the hard times. I appreciate all the support I've received.

Cheers,

RxnMan

Sadly, they probably wouldn't remember me, let alone what they said.

I would probably forget them, but I have to admit the "how ya like me now" dance does have its appeal. 😉
